Boiling an egg could possibly be one of the easiest and most intricate little techniques to master, and that’s not counting peeling the shell. I’m very particular about my boiled egg, I like it somewhere between runny and firm. But I seldom get it right so I end up putting multiple eggs in boiling water at different intervals in hopes of getting at least one cooked to my desired doneness (I usually give Alex the rest, he’ll eat almost anything). But thanks to the folks at Egg Watchers, I now know the exact time required for one “squidgy” extra large boiled egg. In case you’re wondering, it’s 7 minutes and 40 seconds!
