Every now and then, Alex and I have our little
sister/brother moment. Guess I should say brother/sister moment because it reads better, but I’m the oldest. Anyway, he’s simple and likes what he likes. As long as what we
do involves some sort of Game Boy, X-Box or Nitendo, he’s good to go. Since
he was off from school today due to the Senate election, I brought him to one
of his favorite places in the city — the Nitendo World Store.

Here he is flashing that winning smile of his.
What on earth is he looking at? The table? By the way my mother decided to give Alex a haircut the day before, the patches of bald spots are so noticeable. Poor Al!
I don’t get the appeal of the Nitendo World store but he
likes it. That’s all that matters.

We strolled by Rockefeller Center and I decided to
take a picture of some people frolicking on the ice.

Walking by the NBC studios, I snapped this picture of
Kathie Lee and Hoda, they were about to go live on the air. You can hardly see
them because I took the picture through the glass and they were conveniently
blocked by a wall. I’m assuming the blond standing in front of Kathie lee is a
producer. Isn’t it just like celebrities to be inconspicuous?

Next stop? Bryant Park
One of my favorite little treasures nestled in the
hustle and bustle of New York City

Lunch time! Alex and I had the roasted turkey sandwich from the Witchcraft stand. It was really yummy, with avocado, bacon, onion relish & aioli on a chewy ciabatta roll. Alex picked out the avocado and tried to feed it to the pigeons. I guess it was one of the park’s forbidden rules because a patron shook his head in disagreement of the act.
Oopsy.
I love the sprawling fountain. So majestic.
So beautiful I had to take a picture of it twice. This
time, with the little ones admiring its breathtaking beauty.

The Bryant Park skating rink, undisturbed.
I love to people watch, so many different faces and
nationalities with a common thread — to live this crazy life the best they could —
surrounded by the people they love.

Here’s to carefree days with the ones we love.
