When
my friend Yves suggested that we dined at SEA, a Thai restaurant — I was delighted by the
prospect because I’m always up for trying new cuisine.

SEA’s décor is a mixture
of old world style with an undeniable fusion of art deco. As soon as you enter
the premises the eclectic atmosphere let’s you know that this won’t be your
typical dining experience.

Don’t be completely fooled by the ambiance because the tranquil pool and Buddha statue at the main
entrance instantly lulls you into a peaceful trance. Their wooden
furniture really made me feel like I was in a quaint little restaurant in Thailand. However, I did not go to SEA for the décor, I went for some authentic Thai food and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

The
food was utterly delectable and surprisingly affordable for the quality of their
ingredients.

The entrance
The pool and Buddha statue were more serene up close than what you see in the picture
The Tup Tim Fritters was my absolute favorite dish of the night, too bad I didn’t order them. Fortunately, Yves was nice enough to share. These little fried appetizers were so addictive that he likened them to crack. At the end of the night, he ordered two more servings to go. Thank you mister!
My order: the Village Steamed Dumplings! Also very yummy but they do not come close to those little fried crack fritters.
I liked the look of their Saratoga bottled water
The Drunk Man’s Noodle! a spicy medley
of noodles, chicken, shrimp and squid drowning in a spicy basil chili sauce. There are no words. I won’t even try to describe how delicious it was. Yves also ordered the Drunk Man’s Noodle, without the squid, he opted for beef instead. And washed it all down with a tall glass of passion fruit mojito. I had water.

I took some pictures of a few diners while waiting for a table at the bar
