Do You Prefer Red Roses?

I don’t have a problem with red roses, they are quite appealing and have been represented in countless works of art throughout history —  but why are they predominantly the go to flowers for every occasion? 

 

You can always expect a bouquet of red roses for birthdays, anniversaries, valentine’s day, even a stint in the hospital. Granted, they are the universal symbol of love but every now and then, your recipient might appreciate some different varieties. My personal favorites are calla lilies, gardenias and orchids.
