List-ings – Most Overused Words Of 2011

January 5, 2012 by Stapha Charleme Leave a Comment

Swagger- the more someone uses
the word swag the less of it they have
                     Amazing – it’s the variations
of the word amazing that I find most irritating, for instance, when someone
wants to stress how amazing something is it’s, “Ah-mazing” but when
something is awe-inspiring it then becomes “Amazeballs.”
           Ridiculous – another classic
case of silly variations. There are better ways to express the absurdities of a
situation, enough with the “Ridik “and “Ri-donk-ulous”
Seriously – this is by far the
most overused word in any conversation because it can either be used to  add an
emphasis to a question or statement. And with fillers like “dude” and
“like” you can guarantee your conversations will never be taken
seriously.
Nice – not interested in what
someone has to say? What better way to tell them than with the former complimentary
word “nice”
Whatever – I thought this word
was only a part of the valley girl’s limited vocabulary, apparently not, because
it’s been tripping from everyone’s lips in 2011.
