I’ve been trying to eat well lately. Not necessarily counting calories but being more conscious about my choices. In lieu of those crusty baguettes that I love so much, I opt for whole wheat. Mozzarella has replaced Parmesan and good old EVOO has taken the place of butter. I’m still a work in progress but, slow and steady wins the race, right?
I’m currently reading The Bonus Years Diet, by accomplished chef and doctor, Ralph Felder. He claims that regular servings of foods like chocolate, red wine and nuts can add 6.4 years on an average lifespan. Wine and chocolate it is then! since I have severe peanut allergies. The book is also full of yummy recipes that will make you
forget that they’ve been carefully selected by Felder and his team of nutritional
experts for their “longevity benefits.”
