Although most most Haitians are Christians, they still practice voodoo. So, what exactly is voodoo?

Voodoo is a religion based on powerful spirits that directly affect an individual’s behavior. During hard times, practitioners invoke the help of these spirits, often referred to as Lao, for assistance.

The religion is often found in Africa, Haiti and other Caribbean countries.
