I wandered over to From Me To You, a stunning photography blog on Tumblr and one post in particular, reminded me of how delightful it is to be a woman. Our graceful curves, illustrious long locks and overall dainty disposition is truly an art form. The pictures below which were taken by the talented Jamie Beck epitomizes (in my opinion) the true essence of a woman — elegance, femininity and absolute glamour.
To me, no other poem celebrates the power of woman more than Maya Angelou’s, Phenomenal Woman. In this case, the following stanza is most fitting:
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The
fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A
hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of
my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a
woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
