The benefits of garlic are abundant. This potent spice has the potential to reduce the risk of heart disease, cholesterol and even cancer. Despite its many health properties, I tend to steer clear of garlic because I could never get rid of the smell from my hands. The compound responsible for that distinctive aroma we all have come to know and love/hate is called allicin.
As many of you might already know, water and soap just isn’t enough to remove the smell of garlic from your fingers.
Here’s what you should do
Just rub a slice of lemon or lime on your fingers and wash any remnants off with water. You might want to rethink this method if you have any nicks or cuts on your hands. This little trick will completely eliminate any traces of garlic.
