If your latest search is “how to get glowing skin,” you should know upfront there is no magic formula to achieve that enviable J-Lo glow. However, glowing skin can be attained through perseverance and a fixed skincare regimen.
Avoid marathon hot showers
When you take long hot showers, you are essentially depleting your skin of its natural oils, which can result in irritation and even inflammation of your epidermis. Dermatologists recommend taking a shower for approximately 15 minutes per day to preserve your skin’s natural flora. Moisturize immediately after shutting off your faucet. This technique helps seal the moisture into your skin by creating a barrier to prevent what dermatologists call “transepidermal water loss” — which is when water passes from the dermis through the epidermis and evaporates from the skin’s surface.
